Pronouns: She/Her/Hers

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of California and a Registered Associate Professional Clinical Counselor at Pasadena Trauma Therapy, Inc. I specialize in the treatment of trauma, complex trauma, relationship issues, transitional issues, self-esteem issues, cultural issues, immigration issues, anxiety, depression, and stress-related issues.

I use Internal Family Systems (IFS)/parts work, EMDR, Mindfulness, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help my clients feel their emotions safely and help them make sense of their needs, desires, and emotional responses. Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a form of psychotherapy that has been successful in helping people who suffer from trauma, anxiety, panic, disturbing memories, nightmares, etc. EMDR uses bilateral stimulation (such as eye movements or tapping) while the client attends to past memories and triggers in an effort to decrease or eliminate emotional distress connected to the memory.

I work collaboratively with each client from a trauma-informed place to identify goals for change and well-being. I believe that everyone is capable of living fulfilled, meaningful and connected lives. My approach is client-centered and non-judgmental, and I recognize the importance of treating the whole person, body, mind, and spirit within their cultural context. I strive to create an empathic space, free of judgment, where one can share openly and heal from their experiences and/or grow in their understanding of themselves and how they relate to others and the world.

I consider it a privilege to learn about you and your journey throughout this process.

  • Trauma Regulation Integration Process (T.R.I.P) The T.R.I.P approach involves working with trauma and its impact on the person as a whole. This approach recognizes that frequently memories are implicit and stored at a body level. The assumption of T.R.I.P is that the body, brain, emotions, beliefs, sensations, and relationships are needing both regulation and integration for the person to feel alive, and are able to live in the present.
